In 1940, September 29 the worker Angrenshakhstroy (population about 300 people) was established ( based on the villages of Jartepe, Teshik-Tosh, Djihiristan) in the village of Djihiristan.

From that day, it was begun to produce the biggest coal basin in the East. The Supreme Soviet Presidium made.a decision:

Turn “ the residential area , while building the Angrenshakhstroy" into the group of Angrenshakhstroy “working village". Organize the Village Soviet in the Teshik- Tosh , centre and Angrenshkhstroy. I.R.Ikramov was selected as the chairman of the Village Soviet .

The village of Angren , which working based on the decision of the Supreme Soviet Presidium was turned into the Angren city in 1946, June 13.

Angren is situated 78 km distance from Tashkent in the Southern- East, in the right sight of the valley of the Ahangaran river. The city consists of several separated parts.

There are the superhighway of Tashkent- Kokand and the railway of Angren-Pop , which connecting the 3 villages of the Ferghana valley with the other parts of Uzbekistan in the area of the Angren.
