Chirchik - the town in Tashkent region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The history of Chirchik town began in 1934, april 28, when the beginning of electrochemical plant and Chirchik- Bozsuv HES cascades with order of Labour and Defend Council of SSSR. (Now, Maxam- Chirchik OAO) In 1934, april 27 the Chirchik town cpuncil was organized with the order of the Presidium of Uzbekistan SSR Central Executive Committee and in 1934, may 1 the building ceremony of the town was celebrated.The formal birthday of the town is 1934, may 1. Chirchik is located in the north of Uzbekistan, in water valley of Tashkent region and it was named as Chirchik river ( meaning: "noisy"). During great domestic war (1941-1945), town was transformed into the industrial engineering center. Based on equipments of evacuated enterprises , the planets of " Chirchikselmash" "Uzbekkimmash", " Chirchik transformer combine" and burning and heat resistance combines were built.
In particular, there is a chemical plant of Maxam- Chirchik. ( former electrochemical industry). In the 40s of 20th century, under the lidership of the academic of the SSSR, I.V.Kurchatov most complicated and main tasks were carried out by researches on atomic project and projecting. There is a Chirchik aircraft mechanical repair plant concerning with repair the military helicopters of Mi8-Mi9 among the objects of the field of defence in town. There are especially Uzbeks and Kazakhs in town. In particular, the Kyrgyzs , Tadjiks, Russians, Armands, Koreans, Ukraines and Jews live friendly.
