Pskent district - the administrative unit of Tashkent region. Administrative center is Pskent town. Pskent town ( until 1966 village) is the center of Pskent district of Tashkent region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It is located in 14 km distance from the railway station of Toytepa in the south and 60 km distance from Tashkent. The population is 90,4 thousand (2006). Pskent district was established in 1920s. It was included in Tashkent region in 1938. In 1960 it was completed and in 1970 reestablished.
