St. George's monastery

The Republic of Uzbekistan is home to more than 130 nationalities. It is the highest score among the Republics of Central Asia. Therefore, the international friendship, religious tolerance and equality were signed as special strategic and political organizations. In these days, 2239 religious organizations and 16 religious confessions are working in Uzbekistan. One of the religious centres is the male priory of Troisk George which is one in Central Asia. The priory was entered into the list of touristic heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In 1870, the Troisk region was established by transferred Russians, and the Saint George was opened in 1900. Nowadays it is one of the most unique churches. In the 20th , the activity of the priory was completed because of religious idealogy of the Soviet and reopened as the chapel in 1944. The first and only men's secret in Central Asia was unveiled at the church in 1996 and now inhabited by 12 people.

The Saint George was repaired in 2012. New bells were bought for the priory in 2015. In 2015, November 23 , the 115th anniversary of the church was celebrated by the Metropolity of Central Asia and Uzbekistan and the members of the priory , diocese priests and Russian guests took part in the ceremony. The monastery is located in Chirchik Tashkent Region which has a high economical, social and spiritual potential.In 2020, March 19 ehe priory in a new form was opened solemnly.

The activities of hotels for visitors, a library, a reading common-room , a meeting room were put into practice. The only male monastery in Central Asia has a special meaning in developing the Russian orthodox church and relationshns of Russia-Uzbek. Such attention to the Russian orthodox church in our country is a clear example of the Uzbek government and interethnic harmony.
